Barbizon Extravaganza ATL

Make plans now to attend Barbizon Lighting's Extravaganza ATL January 29 and 30, 2019. Two days jam-packed with education, exhibits, and networking for Georgia's entertainment production community. For years we've held this event in North Carolina and our customers pleaded with us to bring in to the Atlanta area.

We're curating a great lineup of educational sessions (with ETCP continuing ed credit) including topics like console training, networking, and electrical practices. As we get the times and dates set we'll post them here.

We're also planning an expo hall with an amazing cross-section of entertainment technology brands where you will be able to talk and ask questions directly to the manufacturers all while having a hands-on experience with the latest technology in the marketplace.

TOMCAT 2019 Training

For over 20 years, TOMCAT’s annual Hoist & Rigging Workshop has been recognized worldwide as the most comprehensive training course of its kind.

In 2008 in response to the changing needs of the industry and thanks to the input of a team of industry experts, TOMCAT launched a new and improved curriculum. These changes allowed participants to receive both beginning AND advanced training in their area of specialization: Hoist or Rigging.

Participants can earn 32 renewal credits at each of these ETCP recognized workshops that provide a unique, hands-on learning experience with industry experts. This is the perfect educational opportunity for those new to the entertainment industry as well as veterans of the business.

This year TOMCAT is taking it a step further by partnering with Rope Access Professionals to offer another training opportunity to the TOMCAT U experience with a SPRAT Rope Access Certification class. This will be a 5 day course consisting of four days of training and one day of evaluation.

All Courses Include:
5 days of training, 6 nights of accommodations at the Black Bear Inn & Suites, transportation to and from the airport, lunch onsite during workshop hours, and a tour and catered dinner at TOMCAT’s factory in Knoxville. The Rope Access rate also includes all SPRAT certification fees.
