Our trainers have knowledge specific to the Entertainment Industry. Our courses can be customized for unique workplace environments or for specific workplace equipment. Trainings can be provided on-site in almost any location. We also have a portable free-standing truss structure that we can bring to most training locations if needed.

Current Course Details
Authorized Person
(1 Day-8 hours, Maximum class size-10 people/trainer)
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to identify fall hazards, understand the hierarchy of Fall Protection and safely inspect and operate typical fall protection equipment covered in this training. This course applies to any person who is required to work at height. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.
Authorized Rescuer
(1 Day-8 hours, Maximum class size-10 people/trainer)
Upon completion of this course, students will understand the hazards of post fall suspension and will be able to, promptly and safely, operate the rescue systems covered in this training. This course applies to any person who is required to work at height. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.
Competent Person
(2 Days-16 hours, Maximum class size-10 people/trainer)
Upon completion of this course, students will be capable of identifying fall hazards and implementing measures to eliminate or protect them with appropriate fall protection systems. This course applies to any person who is required to work at height and/or supervise other persons who work at height. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.
Competent Rescuer
(Run in tandem with Competent Person class: 1 Day-8 hours)

At the completion of this course, the student will be able to assess fall hazards and apply appropriate rescue plans to each. The Competent Rescuer will also have a working knowledge of the rescue systems covered in this training in order to operate as a member of the rescue team. This course applies to any person who is required to work at height and/or supervise other persons who work at height. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.
Competent Inspector
(1 Day-8 hours, Maximum class size-10 people/trainer)
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to recognize and record damaged fall protection equipment and take appropriate steps to remove the gear from service. This course applies to any person who is required to perform annual/regular Competent Person Fall Protection and Rescue equipment inspections. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.
Aerial Work Platform
(Scissor and/or Boom Lift) (2 Days-12+ hours, Maximum class size-8 people/trainer)
At the completion of this course, the student will be familiar with the classifications and components of different lifts, the function of these components and be able to perform pre-use inspections and safely operate the lifts that have been covered in the training. This course applies to any person who is required to operate Scissor and/or Boom lifts. It includes both classroom and hands-on activities.

Barbizon Extravaganza at UNC School of the Arts

This one day class giving the student an overview of the feature set and capabilities of MA2 software. This class is intended to teach navigation and the basic workflow of the software. Goals of the class include getting comfortable with the software and knowing how to continue to learn.

Two-Day HEDGE HOG 4
Wednesday/Thursday 9:00-5:00
This two-day class is always evolving as the Hog Control Software continues to add functionality. The course is fast-paced and requires that attendees have a good working knowledge of basic entertainment lighting terminology.

This one day course will teach how to get the most out of the Philips Strand NEO console with a hands-on training session will be divided into console basics and advanced console tricks for programmers of all levels.
